Hello, everyone! I'm returning to p1999 after a 2-year absence, which was in turn a return to EverQuest after a 5+ year absence. I'm looking to make my EQ experience a little more exciting this time around, which means joining a guild. I saw your post on the p1999 subreddit, and figured, a group of people who appreciate Reddit must be stand-up folks. Narwhal bacon Neil DeGrasse Tyson fedora.
I'm playing a teeny, tiny level 6 Iksar shaman right now... I have a level 29 barbarian shaman left over from my last forage into p1999, but since that was before Kunark was available and Iksar were always my favourite race, I went and started again.
What I'd really like is to level up a character who is needed by some friends, since I find that motivates me to keep at it more than levelling up a boring solo class, so if you accept my approval and are in dire need of something else, do say so and I'll be happy to try one of those.
My main experience on EQ was as a bard, and I think I hit the level cap which was 70 at the time. I didn't do as much raiding as I would have liked, but I preferred to stay with a group of fun, friendly people who played the game on their own terms, rather than a group focused on progression. That isn't to say I wouldn't like to raid, but this is a game first and a job second.
Anyway, I hope my experience and immaculate grammar impress you all enough to invite me into your ranks. See you in-game!
